Updated: April 29, 2026
To ensure the best possible customer experience with the LWS Water Appliance, we at Living Water Systems make the following recommendations for your benefit:
1) Purchase a water test to have your feed water tested so that your Feed Water Parameters are well known and understood by you and LWS. The LWS Point of Entry (POE) Whole House RO System is designed to operate with a wide range of feed water, however for good results feed water should never be out of the defined feed water parameters for the LWS Water Appliance. LWS cannot guarantee good results without knowing your Feed Water Parameters.
a. You can purchase a water test from LWS for $100.00. The report of the results will be shared with you. If you purchase an LWS Water Appliance the cost of the water test will be deducted from the price of the LWS Water Appliance.
b. You could at your discretion decide to have your water third party tested and share the results with LWS.
NOTE: Combinations of TDS, Iron, Arsenic, Hardness and other contaminants will change maximum specifications.
2) Chlorine > 4 ppm (with optional Chlorine Filters) Chloramine levels > 3 ppm will drastically reduce your Stage 2 filter capacity.
3) Chloramines >4 ppm (with optional Chloramine filters) Chloramine levels > 3 ppm will drastically reduce your Stage 2 filter capacity.
4) Hardness > 30 gpg.
5) Iron > 2.5 ppm. Levels over 2.5 ppm require an Iron Reduction System.
6) TDS > 750
7) Turbidity < 1 nephelometric turbidity unit (NTU).
8) Surface water
NOTE: If any of your water parameters fall outside of this range, additional Pretreatment systems will be needed to treat the feed water before it enters the LWS Water Appliance. Please contact Customer Service if you have any questions.
9) A minimum electrical service of 120V, 15 Amp, dedicated circuit with Ground Fault Protection (GFI) is required for optimum performance and protection of the LWS Water Appliance.
10) A minimum Feed Water pipe size of ¾” is required for good performance of the LWS Water Appliance.
11) A licensed professional for installation is strongly recommended for adherence to state and regional plumbing and sanitation codes.
